What makes our celebrant training venue so special?

Our environment has a profound effect on the way we live, learn, socialise and take in information. That is why we are so selective about where to host our celebrancy training. Our venue, High Trenhouse, is a unique setting for equally unique training. The choice was deliberate and in keeping with the ethos and values of ICPC. Here’s a little bit more about it.

Where Is High Trenhouse?

High Trenhouse is located near Settle, in the rolling Yorkshire Dales National Park countryside. It is a large converted farmhouse, owned privately by ICPC’s Director, Stuart Morris and his wife Jane Setter. Getting to High Trenhouse is possible by car, taxi, or public transport with a complimentary pickup from the train station at Settle.

Why High Trenhouse?

High Trenhouse is a stunning venue, offering a peaceful atmosphere, acres of land and overnight accommodations. Here’s what makes it so special:

  • It gives you the reflective time you need to become a Celebrant. Celebrancy training requires personal exploration, thoughtfulness and a whole range of reflective emotions. We train using various issues, some of which are quite painful, and might bring up feelings or memories within you while you are training. High Trenhouse gives you the quiet atmosphere to absorb the training properly and process your thoughts and feelings throughout.
  • You will have exclusive access. Unlike other training providers who book conference rooms in hotels, you have access to the entire 26 bed property and the large gardens. There are no other guests. This means you can enjoy the facilities and not be disturbed by other groups, or eat with strangers. This enables us to offer you a safe space for the whole training experience.
  • The staff are friendly and personable. You will be made to feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. They will take time to know you and your preferences, and do all that they can to make you comfortable.
  • You will have your own room and enjoy a soft robe, a comfortable high quality bed, an ensuite bathroom, free WIFI and space for your personal belongings.
  • Everything you need is in one place. While you can explore the neighbouring town, if you prefer to stay put on site, all your needs are catered to. We offer food, drink (soft and alcoholic), entertainment, accommodation and refreshments. There’s also all the resources you need for learning.
  • There’s games, laughter and fun to be had in one of the two bars on site, where you can wind down at the end of the day and meet new people in your cohort. Outside there are beautiful gardens and large ponds to wander around.
  • Training rooms are spacious, warm, light, comfortable and fully equipped with state of the art technology.

Why Does It Matter?

We believe that providing a nurturing environment enables better learning and a deeper understanding of celebrancy. A big part of becoming a celebrant is taking the time to self-reflect, meet new people, practise your skills, and take your time over your learning. High Trenhouse ensures that this can happen. Often we are asked why our training fees are at the more premium end of the celebrancy training market. As well as the 5* training, High Trenhouse is a big part of this. You will be receiving a superior learning experience as well as a holistic and caring environment. The whole experience is transformational. At the end of your stay, we guarantee you will feel prepared, refreshed and ready to begin your business.
