Why choose the International College of Professional Celebrants?

Dec 22, 2021

Support - Training - Community – Advocacy

Hello and thank you for considering ICPC for your celebrant training.

If you are thinking about becoming a celebrant, then we would like to offer you the best possible chance of running a successful celebrancy business. We will not only give you the best training, but will support you while you set up your business and help you flourish.

Celebrancy can be a full time career or can fit alongside other aspects of your life on a part time basis. Either way you deserve the best training from the right organisation.

The International College of  Professional Celebrants is not just another celebrant training organisation. We believe that we train and support the best celebrants in the world.

What Sets Us Apart?

ICPC was founded in February 2018 by Stuart Morris (formerly IPC).

Stuart was a successful celebrant and businessman and soon realised, that although we might naturally have the required  'soft skills' of celebrancy, like empathy, communication and active listening; the celebrant also needs to know how to attract clients, market themselves and set up a successful business.

This two-fold approach means that our celebrants leave their training week knowing, not just how to structure, write and deliver exquisite ceremonies, but also how to forge business relationships, network and set up their own successful business.

Where We Train

Our training college at High Trenhouse in North Yorkshire is nestled in stunning National Trust land and provides the perfect backdrop for our immersive residential training. High Trenhouse provides high tech training rooms along with snug break out rooms and wood burning stoves. The landscaped gardens provide space for outdoor ceremonies and the home cooking is superb. In fact it is so good you may need to loosen your belts by the end of the week!

During the training week you will not only learn a new profession, but you will be on a journey of self-discovery and a new way to view the world. It truly is a wonderful experience.

What Happens After You Have Trained?

After your training week, we provide ongoing support and further training opportunities and resources.  As professional celebrants, we encourage you to continuously improve your skills and serve your clients with integrity and excellence.

Included in our training week, albeit residential or online, is the opportunity to complete the NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Civil Celebrancy. After you have completed your week's training you will obtain three  things:

  •  Your training certificate which provides evidence of your professional training.
  •   Your ICPC membership at no extra cost for the first year, which includes Specialist Celebrant Public Liability Insurance (£5,000,000) and Professional Indemnity Insurance (£1,000,000)
  •  Access to video lectures, study notes and your own personal tutor to support you through your NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Civil Celebrancy. This is given to you free for 12 months to complete.

ICPC also provides an industry wide voice for celebrants across the globe, influencing policy makers with a pragmatic and common sense approach to modern celebrancy.

Thank you for your interest and we hope to meet you at one of our training courses soon. If you have any further questions please do call Julie on 07727 426654.
