Joining Membership from another organisation
You are welcome to join our membership but you are required to have undergone celebrant training with an organisation or demonstrate that you have significant professional experience in celebrancy. If you purchaseΒ membershipΒ with us, you're agreeing that you have undergone relevant training - we reserve the right to request evidence of this training if we deem it necessary.
1. Free Trial Period
1.1 Your membership starts with a 30-day free trial. The free trial period lasts for exactly 30 days from the moment you sign up.
1.2 We require valid payment details to activate the free trial, but you will not be charged during this period.
1.3 We will verify your payment method by placing a temporary hold (authorization) for a nominal amount, which is released immediately.
2. Automatic Renewal and Billing
2.1 Conversion to Paid Membership: If you do not cancel your membership before the end of the 30-day free trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid membership.
2.2 Billing: Depending on the plan you selected at sign-up, we will charge your registered payment method:
- Monthly Plan: Β£25.00 every month; or
- Annual Plan: Β£275.00 every year.
2.3 Recurring Payments: By starting your free trial, you expressly authorize us to charge the membership fee on a recurring basis until you cancel. The first payment will be taken on the day following the end of your free trial (Day 31).
3. Notifications and Reminders
3.1 We are committed to transparency. We will send you a reminder email [3-7] days before your free trial ends. This email will alert you that:
- Your trial is ending soon;
- Your payment method will be charged if you do not cancel; and
- It will provide a clear link or instructions on how to cancel.
3.2 For Annual Memberships (Β£275/year), we will also send a reminder email before each subsequent annual renewal payment is taken.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 Cancelling During the Trial: You may cancel your membership at any time during the 30-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial:
- Your access will continue until the end of the 30-day period;
- You will not be charged any fees; and
- The contract will terminate automatically at the end of the 30 days.
4.2 How to Cancel: You can cancel directly through your account settings page [Insert Link] or by emailing us at [Insert Email]. We ensure that cancelling is as easy as signing up.
5. Statutory Cooling-Off Period (Right of Withdrawal)
5.1 Under UK and EU consumer laws, you have a statutory right to change your mind and withdraw from this contract within 14 days of signing up, without giving a reason.
5.2 The "Renewal" Cooling-Off Period (UK Specific): In addition to the initial 14 days, if your trial converts to a paid Annual Membership, or renews for another year, you are entitled to a further 14-day cooling-off period starting from the date the renewal payment is taken.
5.3 Refunds During Cooling-Off: If you exercise your right of withdrawal during a paid cooling-off period (e.g., immediately after the trial converts to a paid plan):
- We will refund the membership fee paid within 14 days.
- We may deduct a pro-rata amount for the days you actually used the paid service between the payment date and the date you cancelled.
6. Refunds Outside the Cooling-Off Period
6.1 Monthly Memberships: If you cancel after the cooling-off period, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing month. No partial refund will be given for the remainder of that month.
6.2 Annual Memberships: If you cancel mid-year (outside the statutory 14-day renewal window), your access will continue until the end of the current annual cycle. No refund will be issued for the remaining months unless required by local law.
