3 New Year's Resolutions For Your Celebrancy Business

New Year’s Eve is normally a time where we reflect on the last 12 months, and prepare ourselves for the year to come. One of the ways we prepare is to form a bunch of new year’s resolutions - which means, promises we make ourselves for the new year. Common new year’s resolutions are to lose weight, get a better job or try to spend less time in front of the TV. But, have you ever considered making a new year’s resolution for your business?

Here are some ideas…

Resolution 1: Double Your Marketing Efforts

A resolution we can almost guarantee to be successful is to double your current marketing efforts. However much time you’re putting into marketing, however much money you’re spending, however much effort it is - ramp it right up. Why? The rewards will be spectacular. Marketing yourself with enthusiasm and commitment is a sure way to gain more clients and - yes - more money. Remember to market yourself strategically and carefully as to not waste time and funds. One way to do this is to take our new digital marketing course. This course is designed to improve your marketing knowledge and give you ample ideas for business expansion using digital means.

Resolution 2: Get X Number of Clients by [This Date]

Having specific goals can help you to achieve them. Saying, “I’m going to get more clients next year” is not going to cut the mustard. You need to think specifically about how many clients you’ll want (and how many you can manage), and what date you’d like to achieve that by.

For example, you might say, by 1 June, I’ll have completed 12 celebrancy jobs (2 a month) and have at least 7 prospective clients on my list for July and August.

Specific, number-focused goals give you a better overview of your success. If you don’t reach this goal, you should have a good idea as to why that is and re-set your goals accordingly.

Resolution 3: Earn X Amount by [This Date]

This is a similar resolution to resolution 2, except your goal is solely money focused. If you want to use this celebrancy business to save money, it’s great to have a figure in mind. Perhaps you want to buy a new car by the end of 2022, or you want to take your family on holiday or pay for a house extension. Whatever it is, your celebrancy career can help you achieve this. Write down 2 or 3 things you’d like to buy or use your money for in 2022 and then plan out a way to reach that figure. How many clients will you need to get to achieve this goals? How much will your average ceremony need to cost? You need to know your numbers - that’s the most important part.
