Learning Opportunities with ICPC in 2024

At The International College of Professional Celebrants, we take a holistic and comprehensive approach to training celebrants. From our core residential training to our members-only workshops and refresher course, we value high quality learning and ongoing development to ensure the very best celebrants are on the market. 

Here’s what we are currently offering:

ICPC Residential Training - High Trenhouse 

This residential training course at High Trenhouse provides you with an opportunity to step away from the busyness of the world and immerse yourself in a special learning environment. Celebrancy is about human experience, and our training is designed to make a safe space for your own experiences and emotions, individually and as a cohort, during the residential. You will have exclusive access to this Yorkshire Dales based premises, including access to two bars, and acres of beautiful landscapes. ICPC Membership and Advanced Membership

After training with us, you will receive a 12 month complimentary ICPC membership. This will open the door to more learning and development opportunities with us, including discounts on certain opportunities. You will also gain access to a members only Facebook page to gain further industry insights. 

Occasional Retreats

Occasionally, we offer ICPC trained celebrants / members an opportunity to travel to High Trenhouse for a retreat weekend. This weekend is a mix of luxurious relaxation and celebrancy learning and development. Our March retreat, for example, includes a celebrant website appraisal from an expert, cultural fusion ceremonies workshop, rituals workshops, yoga, a guided walk and much, much more. 

CPD (Continuous Professional Development)

Both members and those who have trained with us can join our CPD courses, which run regularly throughout the year. These might include creative writing workshops, rituals workshops, online meetups and much more. Click here to see the full list and keep your eyes peeled for more to be added. CPD is particularly good for those of you who want to expand in a particular area, or who feel a lack of confidence in certain skills. We are here to help you and provide a non-judgemental, supportive atmosphere so you can develop. 

Celebrancy Refresher Course

If you have trained as a celebrant but feel like you need a refresher, we are now offering an online course designed for you. You will revisit how to structure a ceremony, learn about burials, ash interments, scatterings and how to make them meaningful, gain refreshed knowledge on weddings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies, and have the chance to resolve individual problems. Furthering Qualifications 

Some of you might have trained with us and completed the Level 3 Certificate in Civil Celebrancy. We recently launched a new accredited qualification called The Platinum Double Diploma which you can progress to. The Platinum Double Diploma is two diplomas in one, and the highest level of combined qualification available anywhere. The coursework comprises of 20 units of work combined into 10 "projects" of work. These projects are designed to be interesting and engaging while demonstrating your knowledge and creativity.  If you have already started or completed your NOCN Certificate in Civil Celebrancy in the UK, this work can be carried forward and will count towards the Platinum Double Diploma.
